What I'm Reading at the Moment

Enshittification. Cory Doctorow's excellent, angry provocation on what we have allowed to happen to the promise that was the internet.

Impro for Storytellers. Keith Johnstone's views on applying lessons from improv theatre to storytelling.

The Work We Need. Recommended by Margaret Heffernan. I'm looking forward to reading this book by Hilary Cottam on the experiments she ran on different forms of work.

The Fax Club. An experiment in the power of quiet, experimental conversations from Do Lectures. Many at New Artisans will recognise this.

Now read. An interesting experiment. I think we can use the idea of weekly provocative questions and bring that into the work we're going to do here at the Athanor.

The Lunar Men. An enjoyable history of the Lunar Society. with more than a few lessons for New Artisans.

Now read. An excellent and a reminder that the Industrial Revolution came out of doing things that were genuinely new, not exhausting what was old. WE can learn from that.
